Course Descriptions

CFSC:
This course includes lectures and hands-on practical training in the safe handling of non-restricted firearms (typically shotguns and rifles used for hunting and target shooting). At the conclusion of the course, students participate in a written review and practical evaluation. Successful completion is required to apply for a Possession and Acquisition License (P.A.L.) for acquiring non-restricted firearms and ammunition.

CRFSC:
This course consists of lectures and hands-on practical training in the safe handling of restricted firearms (typically handguns). Prohibited firearms are discussed, but no actual prohibited firearms will be used during practical training. At the conclusion of the course, students participate in a written review and practical evaluation. Successful completion is required to apply for a Possession and Acquisition License (P.A.L.) for acquiring restricted or prohibited firearms and ammunition.

  • CRFSC: $210 + HST = $237.30
  • CRFSC (within 30 days of CFSC): $170 + HST = $192.10
  • Combined Course (CFSC + CRFSC): $380 + HST = $429.40
